Apprenticeships

Luton and Dunstable University Hospital is one of the largest employers in Luton so it is vital we have the right people to make sure that we provide the highest quality service possible, to our local community. That’s why we offer lots of apprenticeships in roles that don’t all involve working on wards or with patients including business administration, finance, customer services, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Our clinical apprenticeships include pharmacy and health care.

All of our apprenticeships lead to nationally recognised qualifications and provide routes into a variety of careers. During your apprenticeship, you will also undertake a wide range of job related training delivered by our highly experienced and qualified clinical and vocational educators.

Many of our apprentices have gone on to secure great roles at our hospital whilst others have developed skills and experience that have helped them secure employment elsewhere.

An apprenticeship at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital means a minimum of one year’s hands-on experience working alongside our experts and the opportunity to learn skills in demand across the public and private sectors.

You’ll also earn while you learn and enjoy the benefits of 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

We advertise all of our vacancies on both NHS Jobs and the Government’s National Apprenticeship Service websites. You can set up an account at NHS jobs that will send you daily alerts so that you can be one of the first to apply as soon as we have vacancies. Follow the links below for more information.
