Community Physiotherapy

We are a group of specialised physiotherapists who work in various areas:

Domiciliary
Neuro-rehabilitation team
Learning disability
Rehabilitation and enablement in the community
Biggleswade hospital
Rehabilitation outpatients
Head injuries
Respiratory
Palliative and Oncology

We take a holistic approach and work closely with other health professionals. We are able to help in a variety of ways such as:

Mobility aids
Falls advice
Respiratory advice
Rehabilitation
Neuro-rehabilitation and advice
Advice to carers on mobility issues

Patients can be referred by health professionals or GPs or may self refer themselves for walking aids when they need them on medical grounds.

Where patients will be seen will depend on their needs. This may be in their own homes, in outpatients or as an inpatient.

Unexpected closure of lifts in Beeden House

We have had to make the difficult decision to close both lifts in Beeden House on the Bedford Site after finding an unexpected fault during routine maintenance.

This means that there will be disruption to services and appointments on the upper floors of Beeden House.

We are currently contacting patients to find the best individual solution for them, minimise disruption and ensure they continue to receive the care they need. At this point you do not need to contact us, we will contact all affected patients.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. The decision to close the lifts was hard, but we felt it was the safest decision to best protect our patients and staff.
