New Gynaecology Health Centre opens at the L&D

A new dedicated Gynaecology Health Centre (GHC) opened on the Luton & Dunstable University Hospital site at the beginning of January, providing a much better experience for patients, and room for the specialty to expand in the future.

The new centre is located by the main hospital entrance and offers a range of gynaecology services including scanning, early pregnancy services, pessary clinics, a hyperemesis unit and a counselling room.

Unexpected closure of lifts in Beeden House

We have had to make the difficult decision to close both lifts in Beeden House on the Bedford Site after finding an unexpected fault during routine maintenance.

This means that there will be disruption to services and appointments on the upper floors of Beeden House.

We are currently contacting patients to find the best individual solution for them, minimise disruption and ensure they continue to receive the care they need. At this point you do not need to contact us, we will contact all affected patients.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. The decision to close the lifts was hard, but we felt it was the safest decision to best protect our patients and staff.
