Two of our incredible members of staff, Halimah Isbag (Senior Pharmacist) and Dr Seema Sukhani (Consultant Paediatrician) have been nominated in the Luton’s Best Awards’ People’s Choice Award!
Seema has also been nominated for the Health Hero Award, and Halimah has been nominated for two awards: Adult Achiever, and Service with a Smile. Regardless of outcome, we would like to congratulate and celebrate both of them for their hard work, which has clearly made a difference in the community.
Seema has a special connection with her patients and the community. She led the fundraising and organisational efforts for a dedicated room for resuscitation, and thanks to her efforts the Children’s Critical Care Room opened in 2023 at the L&D with huge success.
Halimah is well known throughout the hospital and the community, helps at the Luton Foodbank, has appeared on local radio Inspire FM, and of course works as a Senior Pharmacist at the L&D Hospital.
