Follow the signs to the free drop off/pick up spaces (lined in red).
These spaces are time limited to 30 minutes only. If you stay longer than 30 minutes you will need to move your car to alternative parking.
Please follow the signs from the car park.
The side entrance to the maternity unit will be open via an automatic door between 8am and 10pm. This door will be available via a buzzer system from 10pm to 8am.
On entering the corridor you will see signs directing you to reception and other areas of the unit.
The front entrance will now be for those attending on foot only. If you use a taxi please ask the taxi firm to drop you off or pick you up from St Mary’s car park via Dunstable Road.
Vehicular access will be now be controlled and will not be available to cars at the front entrance.
If attending a clinic appointment please access the unit on foot via the front entrance and park in any of the available car parks or drop off in St Mary’s car park.
To families of all our patients, we wanted to give a reminder that sadly, at both Bedford and the Luton & Dunstable Hospital, we are still unable to allow any visitors on site, unless there are exceptional circumstances, for example in maternity or children’s departments, or for those patients who are receiving palliative treatment at the end of their lives, on a case-by-case basis.
At Bedford changes are being made to support services and we would now ask that, from Saturday 6 June 2020, you contact the wards using the direct lines found here.
For the Luton & Dunstable, we are offering a dedicated Next of Kin helpline for family members who want to check up on their loved ones – please nominate one family member to call 01582 718884 between 8am and 6pm.
