Celebrating Volunteers’ Week

Date: 01/06/2021 | Category: General News

Volunteers’ Week takes place from 1 to 7 June every year and gives us a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to the Trust and say thank you to each and every single one of them.

At Bedfordshire Hospitals, we are very lucky to have 506 volunteers at present who dedicate so much of their time and energy across the Luton and Bedford sites.

Many volunteers have played a key role in the pandemic response from assisting with essential tasks at both hospital sites during the multiple lockdowns, helping staff and patients, and supporting the Vaccination teams during the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccine.

It has been an exceptionally difficult year for many, but with so many people taking the time to volunteer; it has made a huge difference for our staff and patients.

To celebrate the week, we will be shining a spotlight on a handful of our wonderful volunteers on the Trust social media channels.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter (links below) to join us in saying a huge thank you to them all!
