Maternity Voices Partnerships (MVP)

What is an MVP?

A Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is an NHS working group comprising of local maternity staff and parents working together to improve the maternity services in their areas.

Bedfordshire Hospitals works collaboratively with both the Bedford and Luton and Dunstable MVPs to improve and develop the maternity services across our hospitals and communities.

Industrial action – Tues 19 Sept to Sat 23 Sept 2023

Our services will be disrupted by consultant and junior doctor strike action from 7am on Tuesday 19 September to 7am on Thursday 21 September (Consultants) and from 7am Wednesday 20 September to 7am Saturday 23 September (Junior doctors). Everyone who has an appointment should attend as planned unless we have contacted you to reschedule. If we have not contacted you, please attend your appointment as normal.

Please use services wisely during industrial action and take simple steps to help ensure care is available to patients who need it most. Please use 111 online as the first port of call for health needs and only attend our Emergency Department for life-threatening emergencies.
