Education and Training

Mr Mehta qualified from Bombay University in 1995 (MBBS) before completing his basic surgical training at Ipswich Hospital. This was followed by an MD (research) degree at the University of Hull. His higher surgical training was in the East of England with a final year of training at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Thereafter, Mr Mehta undertook a post-CCT Endovascular Fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Experience

He was appointed consultant at Bedford Hospital in 2010 and has wide range of experience in all aspects of open and endovascular surgery.

Research

Mr Mehta has carried our research in ‘supervised exercise and angioplasty in patients with intermittent claudication’, for which he was awarded the British Journal of Surgery research bursary in 2001.
