Areas of Special Interest

Mr Tisi’s clinical interests are focussed mainly on venous disease- diagnosis (ultrasound) and treatment of varicose veins and leg ulcers using modern less invasive techniques. He also sees patients with vascular malformations, lymphoedema, intermittent claudication and minor general surgery.

Education and Training

Mr Paul Tisi qualified from The Medical College of Saint Bartholomew's Hospital in 1988 and began his registrar training in 1992 in the Wessex region. Mr Tisi undertook a two year period of research at University of Southampton obtaining the Master of Surgery higher degree (Assessment and Treatment of Intermittent Claudication). Following specialist vascular training he obtained his CCST in 2000.

Appointed as Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon Bedford Hospital/Luton & Dunstable Hospital in 2001.

Mr Tisi is the Editor of Cochrane Vascular, Contributor at BMA Clinical Evidence and a Reviewer at European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
