Mr Brady sits on the main committee of the national governing body for Colposcopy and is the Regional Lead Colposcopist and Quality Assurance Director (East of England). He also teaches on the Teale Fenning Medical Education courses.

Areas of Special Interest

He is especially interested in pre-malignant disease of the cervix and the management of women with abnormal cervical smear tests.

Education and Training

Mr Brady was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford and went onto attend The Combined Medical & Dental School of the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. Mr Brady did broad-based pre-registration house jobs and did the majority of his basic training at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and St Bartholomew’s Hospital for cancer training. His Specialist Registrar training was based in the North Thames region with University College. He then began as a Senior Registrar at The Royal London Hospital and achieved his MRCOG in 2003.

Experience

Mr Brady was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Bedford Hospital in 2008 and is now the lead clinician for Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy.
