Education and Training

Dr Sunil Krishnankutty qualified in medicine from the University of Calicut, India, in 1998. He moved to the UK in 2002 and obtained MRCP in 2004. Dr Krishnankutty then underwent post-graduate and specialty training at West Midlands deanery and Wessex deanery rotating through University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Poole Hospital, Portsmouth Hospital and North Hampshire Hospital.

Experience

He joined Bedford Hospital as a consultant in 2010, and played a significant role in the set up and running of Acute Medicine service at Bedford Hospital. He has regular chest clinic and bronchoscopy sessions at Bedford Hospital. Dr Krishnankutty is the clinical lead for Acute Medicine and is a member of various committees at Bedford Hospital.

Research

His research interests include sepsis/septic shock and he is involved in national clinical trials.
