Dr Dey works closely with the vascular surgeons as part of the Bedfordshire-Milton Keynes vascular network.

Areas of Special Interest

She specialises in vascular interventional procedures such as angioplasties for peripheral arterial disease, aortic interventions for aneurysm (EVAR), embolisation for uterine fibroids (UFE), venous interventions including varicocele embolisation, IVC filter placement and removal, stenting for SVC syndrome and interventions for dialysis fistulae. Dr Dey also does cross-sectional imaging, including x-rays, CT scans, ultrasound scans, including vascular ultrasound and vascular MRI scans.

Education and Training

Dr Dey obtained her medical degree from Calcutta Medical College, India. She then moved to the UK to train in surgery in the Liverpool Mersey rotation. She did her Radiology training in the Hull-York rotation, with sub-specialisation in Interventional Radiology, obtaining her FRCR in 2006 before undertaking a Vascular Interventional Fellowship at Sheffield Vascular Institute.

Experience

Dr Dey was appointed as Consultant Interventional Radiologist to Bedford Hospital in 2016. Previously she had been a Consultant Radiologist at Northampton General Hospital for 6 years.
