Ms Sandhu undertook the vast majority of her postgraduate ophthalmic training at King’s College Hospital in London and Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, acquiring general and specialist ophthalmological experience.
She completed her Fellowship obtaining her postgraduate doctorate (MD) at University of London evaluating ocular blood flow in retinal disease, in particular Age-related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy.
She complemented her postgraduate clinical training by completing a further Fellowship in Medical Retina and Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital, an eye hospital of international acclaim.
She is an experienced cataract surgeon offering spectacle free near and distance vision with customised Multifocal and Toric lenses. She has over 15 years of experience in her specialty.

Miss Sarangapani FRCOphth is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS foundation Trust, a University Teaching Hospital of University College London (UCL) where she specialises in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery. She is the Clinical Lead for the Oculoplastics Service and the Acute Eye Clinic Service.
Miss Sarangapani has full specialist registration with the General Medical Council and has undergone extensive training in Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics surgery in London’s most prestigious eye hospitals. She graduated from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine (University of London) and completed her Ophthalmology residency at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Miss Sarangapani followed this with an 18 month Fellowship at the Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, which involved training with Plastic Surgeons, ENT and Maxillofacial Specialists as well as Oculoplastics Consultants, ensuring an extensive training in Facial and Eyelid reconstructive surgery. She then went on to complete a further 18 month Fellowship at Imperial College, London in Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery, including Tumour excision and reconstruction and Endoscopic lacrimal surgery.
She has published over 15 peer review publications and regularly presents her work at National and International Conferences. She established a dedicated Oculoplastics and Lacrimal Service at Luton and Dunstable Hospital and is committed to continuing to develop this Service.

Additionally, I am the lead author of a major ophthalmic textbook that is widely used amongst junior eye surgeons within the UK.

Miss Subash is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Luton and Dunstable NHS Foundation Trust and is the Clinical Lead for the Retinal Vascular Occlusion Service.
She fulfilled her comprehensive Ophthalmology Residency on the North Thames and Moorfields Eye Hospital rotation giving her the opportunity to spend a few years working in Europe’s largest Eye Hospital and gain a vast amount of experience in all fields of Ophthalmology including complex cataract surgery. Following on from this she pursued her interest in medical retina with a fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital during which she was also the main impetus for the largest modern day clinical trial addressing diabetic retinopathy and driving vision standards. This has been recently published in a prestigious Ophthalmology journal.
She has over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at both national and international conferences. She is actively involved in training and education and is the educational supervisor for the trainees in her NHS Department and has been the mentor and trainer for the first nurse intravitreal injector at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
