Butterfly Appeal – Bedford Hospital

We are creating a new beginning for Bedford Hospital Maternity Bereavement.

As we strive to make the hardest moments in life a little bit easier, Bedford Hospital’s Maternity Bereavement Unit has undergone a remarkable transformation over the last few years, but there is still more to be done.

We are hoping with the unwavering generosity of our compassionate donors, the current entrance will become a beacon of compassion and comfort.

Losing an unborn child or a new-born is a painful journey, one that no parent should ever have to endure. For those who find themselves in this heart-wrenching situation, a soothing and inviting environment can make all the difference. The to-be newly renovated entrance aims to do just that – to offer a warm embrace to those already grappling with profound grief.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors in helping us make this transformation possible. Together, we are sowing seeds of hope and helping families navigate the challenging path of maternity bereavement with a lot more compassion.

We need to raise £50,000 for this appeal to make the amazing changes for our patients.
