Renting a Breast Pump

If you are likely to be discharged home before your baby, if breastfeeding is not yet established or baby is needing supplemental milk, you will need to consider how you will continue to express breast milk at home.

A double electric breast pump is ideal as double pumping provides greater stimulation for parents who are separated from their baby (as well as saving a lot of time)!

Renting:

You can rent a double hospital grade pump using the below options.  This may be useful if you wish to use the same pump that you used in hospital (Medela at Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Ardo at Bedford Hospital).

Using the online code MEDNICU, the cost is £39 for the first two weeks and then £39 per month after this. Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day for next working day delivery.

Ardo ‘Carum’ double electric hospital grade pumps are available by contacting Ardo directly on 01823 336362 or by visiting Ardo’s website.

The cost is £49.00 for 14 days hire and then £49.00 for every month thereafter. Orders placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday, are despatched free for a 2-4 day delivery and £7.50 for a next working day delivery by courier.
