Restricted access to main building at the L&D

Date: 01/09/2022 | Category: Redevelopment

To support the upgrading and refurbishing of our Emergency Department at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, the internal corridor tunnel accessed via the hospital service road into the main hospital building will be closing temporarily.

There will be restricted access via this route from Monday 5 September until Friday 9 September 2022.

If you need access to Outpatients Zone A, B and J, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), Imaging or Cashiers, you can still do so from the main service road through Entrance 1.

If you need to access the main building for medical wards, St Mary’s, Cath Lab/Cardiac Centre, COMET and Security, you will need to use Entrance 2, located further down the service road on the right hand side, before the Urology One Stop Clinic.

Signage will be in place and volunteers will be available to direct patients and visitors around the site.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the hospital. Find out about all our redevelopment works.
