Revisional Surgery on clinical ground

Although bariatric surgery is the most effective long-term weight loss solution for people with obesity, there are occasions when patients can develop complications from a previous operation. In most cases the problem can be simply addressed with changes to diet and lifestyle.

Where this is not possible we can offer revisional surgery for appropriate patients (providing they meet the referral criteria). For a patient that has previously had a gastric band, a typical example of a complication could be band slippage, erosion, or severe vomiting. When this occurs the patient may require revisional surgery to correct the problem.
