Education and Training
She completed medical school and her MD degree in Bangalore, India. She worked as a senior resident in O&G at the Tertiary Referral National Institute JIPMER for 3 years. She came to the UK in 2005, and completed her run through training programme in 2012, having passed the MRCOG exam in 2007.
Experience
Miss Katimada was appointed to the post of consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Bedford Hospital in 2012. Since then she has been actively involved in the care of pregnant women with previous caesarean sections, and runs a perineal clinic for women who have suffered significant perineal tears during child birth. She is adept at gynaecological scanning, and offers a one-stop service to women with general gynaecological problems, such as pelvic pain, fibroids, menorrhagia, and genital prolapse. She also has a keen interest in high risk labour ward management and general gynaecology.
